People come to LA in hopes of becoming discovered for their acting, singing, or other talents. And whether you want to admit it or not, there’s always that little hope that you’re going to catch a glimpse of someone famous who’s already made it.

Los Angeles isn’t a small place, so if you want to spot a celebrity without having to do a whole lot of searching,  you should start frequenting certain places on the regular. Here’s a list of ten that’ll certainly spare you some time scouring the streets.

The Calabasas Commons

If you’ve ever watched an episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” there’s no doubt you saw Calabasas as the backdrop to many scenes. It’s an upscale neighborhood in the LA area, and many of the Kardashian clan have had or still have homes there. That means they frequent local places, including stopping at the Calabasas Commons for a fresh smoothie, or cup of joe. Other stars that have been seen in these areas include Jayden Smith, Justin Bieber, and Britney Spears.

Whole Foods Tarzana

Celebs are people too, so they have to go grocery shopping, just like the rest of us (or not like the rest of us, and can send someone to do it for them, but I guess they don’t always do that?). Many of them choose to do it at the Whole Foods in Tarzana, because it’s the newest and most updated one in the area. If you need to check off the things on your own food shopping list, do it here. You might bump into Kaley Cuoco, Matt LeBlanc, or Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian.

The Tower Bar

When you want to go kick back and relax with an adult beverage, try the Tower Bar inside the Sunset Tower Hotel. It seems to have turned into a popular place for stars to go, including Andy Cohen and Viggo Mortensen. Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have also been spotted here.

Starbucks Santa Monica

Hit up the Starbucks on Montana when you’re in Santa Monica. You’re likely to see paparazzi lingering around because it’s such a celeb hot spot. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been regulars here for years.

The Grove

When you’re rich, you shop. And the shopping at the Grove is pretty much as high-end as you’ll find. Stars like Bella Thorne, Niall Horan from One Direction, Nicole Richie, and the entire band from 5 Seconds of Summer, have been spotted at the outdoor mall. If you can’t catch them picking out new threads, look to see if they’re eating at Umami Burger, the Farmer’s Market, or Sprinkles Cupcakes.

Sweet Butter

“Let’s do brunch!” Hollywood’s elite are into it too. If you want to feel like them, see what Sweet Butter in Sherman Oaks has to offer. You’ll get a good meal, and maybe a seat close to Lisa Rinna and her hubby Harry, or even Lena Dunham.

Spellbound Sky

Celebrities like Brook Candy, Alexa Chung, Lena Dunham, and Cara Delevigne have a thing for the metaphysical. That’s why they stop in to speak with Mark Phillips and Martin Anguiano at Spellbound Sky. You could swing in and check out all of their ritual candles, stones, crystals, and other lotions and potions.

SoulCycle

It’s no secret that celebs like to stay in shape, and many of them enjoy the adrenaline-boost and endorphin rush that comes from a SoulCycle class. Carey Mulligan, Ellie Kemper, and Khloe Kardashian have all been seen sweating it out at one of these gyms.

Skylight Books

If you like to read, hit up cute and cozy Skylight Books. Celeb sightings in there lately include Zoe Kazan and Parker Posey. They like to curl up with some good reading material and get away from it all once in a while.

Runyon Canyon

Getting out of the city without really getting out of the city is possible at Runyon Canyon. Enjoy a natural hiking experience right on the border of Hollywood and West Hollywood. Stars like Josh Duhamel and Pete Wentz are regulars, and for absolutely zero dollars, you can be too! You may even spot them walking with their pooches!
